this summer has been flying by. there are still way too many things on my to-do list and not enough time. Jake comes home in 2 weeks, the countdown is officially on and I cannot wait to see him. These past 6 weeks, I have missed him like crazy.
this weekend was a weekend full of party planning, food making, and family loving. it was my little brother’s graduation party and it was so fun to celebrate him but to also see all of our close friends and family. Weekends with family are always the best.
I work with children during the week, so outfit posts are few and far between. in fact, days that I look presentable are few and far between. I am tempted to post a picture of my work shirt so you can see what I look like on a day-to-day basis. kid friendly would be my description!
so here goes nothing. quite possibly my only outfit post of the summer …
Shirt : Charlotte Russe
Skirt : Target
I have to be honest. this weekend was unproductive. Do you ever have those weekends? you have so much to do, plan out all that your going to do and then do absolutely nothing. well that was me. it’s a serious, serious miracle I even got showered and dressed on Saturday.
besides making you feel seriously unproductive, lazy days are the best. they rejuvenate you, lift up your spirits, and put you in a better mood. people, give yourself time for a lazy Saturday. it’s well worth it.
I did some shopping with girlfriends this weekend, and found the cutest maxi dress, that hallelujah doesn’t have to be hemmed for this 5’1’’ girl. we also visited with some friends and met there brand new 6 week old baby twin girls. they were full of cuteness and my roommate and I couldn’t get enough of holding them.
Sunday was a treat. Jake came home after a couple of days in Ohio and it was so so good to see him. we spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon laying in a hammock talking about our weekends, I am blessed to be dating an adventurous man, and had a dinner date at Panera and movie date to see Captain America.
it was a good weekend. full of sweet little things.
this is weekend style at its finest. there’s nothing like ripped jeans and tenny’s.

it is my first bare legged day of the year and I am one happy girl. boston is finally showing some serious signs of spring and I couldn’t be more ready. it is so fun pulling out the spring clothes that have been in the back of my closet for far too long.
I got this skirt about 2 years ago and it is the first time I have ever worn it. I don’t know why it took me so long but I’m glad I did.
pairing it with this chambray shirt made it a little more casual and subdued. which is what I was going for today.
it is wednesday, the week is flying by, and I am so excited for the weekend already.
I hope you all are enjoying some spring weather as well!
oh p.s. I realized this skirt had an awkward fold mark across the front that I noticed after I had taken pictures. my apologies! proof that I need an iron.

today was a get outta bed, throw your hair up kinda day. ya dig?
I’ll even let you in on a secret. I’m wearing a sleep shirt. (aka pajamas) yes, you heard that right. it has the cutest little boxers to go with it and I loved the shirt too much to allow my bed to just see it.
forever 21 has an awesome pajama section, and more often than not you can wear the shirts on a regular day. and for added bonus they are super cheap! $12 for the whole set.
considering I’m wearing pajamas, adding a necklace helped me feel a little more put together.
so if your looking for some new graphic tees or just some cute and cozy pj’s , I highly suggest checking out forever 21. and don’t leave me hangin’ as the only one who wears pajamas out.
